Rob Georges was born in Marin, California and lived in the North Bay area until High School when he moved to Oregon. Rob attended Oregon Institute of Technology and graduated with a B.S. in Electronics. Upon graduation he moved back to California and went to work in Silicon Valley as an engineer at Maxim Integrated. He began attending East Valley Church where he met and married his wife of 33 years, Judy. Rob and Judy have six children, three by birth and three by marriage. Dan and Tracy Newman are part of Garden City. Jeremy and Ann Marie Georges are also a part of the Garden City family. Ryun and Jamie Georges live in Houston, Texas. It is a joy to have his adult children together in church, and he hopes that Ryun and Jamie will relocate to California soon. Rob and Judy have three grandchildren.
Rob was raised by a Christian mother and Christian grandparents. His father was a merchant marine and was home infrequently. His parents were divorced while Rob was in High School and this profoundly affected his view of the marriage covenant and commitment as well as the pain that children feel as a result of broken marriages. Rob came to trust in Jesus and was baptized while in junior high. He continues his growth in knowing and yielding to Jesus through leading, serving and attending Western Seminary.
Rob’s passion is to see disciples making disciples. He disciples others regularly and encourages members of his Life Group to also participate in discipleship.
