Hey church family!

Here are the tunes we’ll be singing this week. Feel free to listen to the Spotify playlist below or share this with someone you think would be encouraged by it!

  1. This is Amazing Grace - SPOILER ALERT: we’re going to start this song by singing the Bridge. Last week, the last words we sang together were: “Is He worthy of this? He is!”. We’re going to continue that right out of the gate as we sing, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! Worthy is the King who conquered the grave!” That gets me excited. I hope you are as well. Join me in the anticipation of singing about our worthy King!

  2. Amazed - My friend, Cormac Parker Jr. released this song a little over a year ago and we introduced it to our church not that long after. In the song, there’s a lyric, “I serve a God who can do the impossible…”. Stop. Right now. Name something impossible in your world right now. Hold it in your mind in detail. Now, consider the truth we see from the gospel of Luke: “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37). When you put that impossibility and God in the same equation, how do you feel? Doubt? Skepticism? Wonder? Excitement? Numbness? I’m sure any of those feelings could surface. But here this truth friends: you DO serve a God who can do the impossible. Ask the Spirit of God to help your heart believe it. And when you do, let that feeling of amazement lead you to worship! He sees you. He loves you. Can’t wait to sing this with you.

  3. My Deliverer - We’ll have a Song Story on this tune soon. Grace Yeh and I co-wrote this out of Psalm 18. I love the psalmists depiction of what nature does when a rescuing God arrives onto the scene:

    Then the earth reeled and rocked;

    the foundations also of the mountains trembled

    and quaked, because he was angry. (Psalm 18:7)

  4. In Christ Alone - We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. But this song seems like it should be required as a part of Christian living. KIDDING. KIDDING. Seriously, so thankful that God led Keith Getty and Stuart Townend to write such an incredible gospel-proclaiming song for the Church. *Challenge: if you know the words to this song, I want to encourage you this week to sing without looking at the screens. Work to internalize this truth.

Church, I can’t wait to sing with you Sunday. What a privilege to gather together to glorify God and edify one another. See you Sunday!
