Homeless Care Pack

The Homeless Care Packing Event is a meaningful and high-impact event that meets the needs of our local community while providing a team-building experience for your Life Group and our church family (this event is very family-friendly). Immediately following the service on April 28, participants will gather together to assemble the care packages, which will include a personal note of encouragement for each recipient. We will begin and end the time with prayer. Each participant will take several care packages with them to personally deliver to those in their local community.

You can contact our Youth Director, Rob Lelaurin for more details at robert@gardencitysv.com

Membership Class

On Sunday, February 10th from 5:30 - 7 PM, we'll have the membership class in the chapel (upstairs in the youth wing adjacent to the youth room) with dinner provided.

This step will replace the requirement for members to listen to the sermon series and will also have 15-20 minute Q&A session. This is intended to supplement the interview process so that a prospective member can hear from elders and staff about what the DNA of Garden City is about. It would be great for you as deacons to attend with a prospective member in your LG and then you can immediately do a brief membership interview afterward. Contact your LG leader or Fred Mok if you plan on attending!

Garden City Seminar: Housing & Transience in the Bay Area

Many if not all of us have felt the tension of housing in the Bay Area and its transience. Whether it is navigating high rent prices, and dreaming of owning, or saying goodbye to another friend who we have invested in, this is a real issue. We will discuss these topics in an open forum setting and aim to encourage and inspire as we all seek to put roots down here in one way or another.

We will have an open forum to discuss the tensions of housing in the Bay Area and the transience of the Bay Area.

Snacks will be provided.
